We completed an electoral review for this council in 2025 and it was not implemented due to the Government’s local government reorganisation (LGR) programme. On 7 September 2026, Government announced a review of the LGR programme.
Elections in May 2027 in Dacorum will take place under the existing boundaries and not those provided for in our final recommendations.

We have decided that Dacorum Borough Council should have 51 councillors.
Effective date
The Borough of Dacorum (Electoral Changes) Order 2007 was made on 25 January 2007.
The new arrangements came into effect at the May 2007 elections.
