We review the electoral and boundary arrangements of councils to make sure they are fair. Our reviews include at least two rounds of public consultation before we make recommendations for change.

The Commission has been carefully considering the implications of the Government’s English Devolution White Paper on its work programme. In light of this, it has decided that this review should be paused for the foreseeable future. Should there be a change to the status of the review, this page will be updated.
